Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Ankit Agarwal built the SIP Planner & SIP Calculator app as an Ad Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Ankit Agarwal at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.
If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at SIP Planner & SIP Calculator unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
SIP Planner has no accounts and no sign-in. You are never asked for your name, email address, phone number, PAN, bank details or any other identifying information, and the app has no server of its own to send them to.
Everything you type into a calculator — amounts, rates, salary figures, loan balances, the calculations you save and the fund names you look up — is processed and stored only on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
The app requests only two permissions: internet and network state, used to load ad content and public market data, and storage, used when you export a calculation to a file you choose.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information which can be used to identify you. Their privacy policies:
What is stored on your device
The app keeps the following locally, in its own private storage:
- Saved calculations. Only the figures you entered are stored, never the results, which are recalculated each time you open a saved calculation.
- Your last-used inputs and preferences, such as currency, theme and pinned calculators, so a screen opens where you left it.
- App lock settings, if you turn the lock on. Any PIN or biometric check is handled by your device and never leaves it.
You can delete all of it at any time: remove individual saved calculations inside the app, or clear the app's data from Android Settings → Apps → SIP Planner → Storage. Uninstalling the app removes everything. Because none of it is uploaded, there is nothing for me to delete on your behalf and no copy for me to hand over.
Ads and your consent
The app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Ad content is requested over the internet, and Google may use device identifiers and similar information to select and measure ads. Google's own explanation of this is in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before requesting ads, using Google's certified User Messaging Platform. Ads are not requested until you have answered. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside the app; that option appears only where consent applies.
Analytics and crash reporting
The app uses Firebase Analytics to understand which calculators are used, and Firebase Crashlytics to receive reports when something crashes. These report events, device and app characteristics and, for a crash, a technical stack trace. They are used only to find faults and decide what to improve.
The figures you enter into calculators are not sent to analytics or crash reporting.
Market data the app downloads
Some calculators show public reference data: mutual fund NAVs and expense ratios, and fixed deposit interest rates. The app downloads these as files from developer-ankit86.github.io and api.mfapi.in. These are plain downloads of public information — the app sends nothing about you or your calculations when fetching them.
Log Data
When the app encounters an error, a report is generated through the third-party services named above. This Log Data may include your device's Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the app's configuration at the time, the time and date, and similar technical statistics. I see these reports only in aggregate, through those services, and use them to fix faults.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.
This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
Service Providers
I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
I want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
Security
I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 18. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. The app has no server of its own; if I learn that a child under 18 has sent me personal information, for example by email, I will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
